Resurfaced Clip Is Being Called The Best Reaction To House Makeover Ever

"Don't touch the other room"

Allowing a complete stranger to decorate your house is always a risky move, especially when said stranger is not a qualified interior designer. But even the BBC couldn't have predicted John Geoghegan's reaction when his and wife, Rachel's, bedroom was given a makeover. Watch the excruciating exchange below:

And while Rachel seemed fairly ok with the new look, John was utterly disgusted and said it wouldn't last long.

The series originally hit TV screens back in 2015, but the clip of the unveiling has resurfaced, with John's reaction being called 'the best reaction to a house makeover ever'.

In the clip, the couple are first shown their living room, which they both love.

The presenter and the expectant couple then move upstairs to their main bedroom, and this is where things fall sharply off a cliff.

Opening their eyes, the couple are visibly shocked. If you look close enough, you can almost see the exact moment John's soul is ripped out of his arse and that flicker of optimisim he had had just moments earlier dies a dark death.

So, what did he think of his newly coated chambre?

"Nah, it's too much. For me, it's too busy," he says bluntly.

"I wouldn't have done anything like it and I don't like it. You're supposed to be able to sleep in a bedroom and it's like a kid's play area.

"I think it looks horrendous, it doesn't look anything like a bedroom. Sorry but it's a big thumbs down from me."

John was not impressed with his new bedroom.

Adding: "It's hideous, I think it's even too much for Rachel if she was to tell the truth."

Or is it?

Giving her thoughts, Rachel says: "I do like the bed and the wardrobes. I like the theme of it. I like the lights."

But John is having none of it and can't believe the betrayal.

"It's rank," he says shaking his head. "I don't like it at all, definitely not."

Then, prodded by the, quite frankly, testy presenter, Rachel says: "I think it will grow on us. I do like the bed and the wardrobes. I did ask for colour."

Neither of which is a massive endorsement, to be honest.

But despite pleas from the presenter to let Rachel keep the room the way it is if she likes it, John doesn't budge.

Instead he rounds off with: "It's rank, horrible."

And when he was asked what message he would give the designer, he says: "Don't touch the other room."

So we think it's a no from John.
