An armed robber handed himself into the police, even though they didn't know who he was or what he'd done.
A court heard that Kaine Williams, from Newport, Wales, brandished a knife during the raid of a second-hand clothes store, along with his accomplice Liam Stimpson, 20.
And while the pair managed to make it away from the scene, Williams, 22, gave himself in to local police after seeing his masked face on an appeal.

During a hearing at Cardiff crown court, it was heard that the Lithuanian shop assistant was unable to understand what the two thieves were saying during the robbery.
A police appeal was sent out after the incident, with a still image from CCTV showing Williams and Stimpson, both with their faces covered.
But despite their identity being concealed, Williams recognised himself and decided the game was up.

Harry Baker, prosecuting, said: "An armed robbery with a knife happened at a second hand clothes store.
"Two people entered with hoods over their heads and a knife was pointed at a member of staff.
"The victim was Lithuanian and she told them she didn't understand and she screamed, 'No money.'
"The two turned around and ran off empty-handed."

Addressing the two thieves, Judge Richard Williams said they had really messed up.
He said: "It was a total failure. You handed yourself in when your identity was not yet established."
Both Williams and Stimpson admitted to a charge of attempted robbery.
Williams was sentenced to two years in jail, while Stimpson, of Cardiff, is set to be sentenced next month.
Last year, an armed robber in Brazil decided to take pity on an elderly lady and kissed her on the head instead of taking her money, according to CCTV footage from a pharmacy.

Brazilian news website G1 reported at the time that the incident happened on the afternoon of Tuesday 15 October in the town of Amarante, which is 160km from Teresina.
The exchange was filmed by the pharmacy's security cameras, which show one employee was in the store at the time, along with an elderly woman.
Two armed men then arrived at the scene at around 5pm, telling the worker to hand over the shop's money.
The woman apparently also offered up her own cash, but one of the robbers simply kissed her on the head, telling her: "I don't want your money."
