A Gunman Has Opened Fire At Fort Lauderdale Florida Airport

Shots have been fired at Fort Lauderdale airport in Florida, witnesses report.

Air Fleischer, former White House Press Secretary, tweeted: "I'm at the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Shots have been fired. Everyone is running."

The airport said there was an 'ongoing incident' in Terminal 2 at the baggage claim area. The shooter is reportedly in custody.

Five people have now been confirmed dead and eight others injured. The armed man was reportedly wearing a Star Wars T-shirt.

There are unconfirmed reports that at least one person is dead and several are injured. Other conflicting reports say three have died so far.
