As a part of their Tudum event, Netflix has released the highly anticipated trailer for the fourth season of Stranger Things, along with a confirmation for 2022. Check it out below:

Yep, the moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived - Stranger Things will very soon be making a return to our screens!

And we've also been told by Joe Keery, who stars as Steve Harrington, that season 4 is set to be the 'scariest yet'.

"Oh man, it's pretty amazing - the Duffer brothers have really done it again."

Anybody else as excited as we are?

Netflix

Well, fans of the hit series simply can't contain their excitement, with one user writing: "Damn Stranger Things, I was just about to give up on you and you suddenly did this?! Don't give me hope."

To which, the Stranger Things admin responded: "This is me trying."

Another user wrote: "I'M SCREAMING," to which the admin then replied: "TUDUUUUUMMMMMMMMMM."

A final user predicted: "We're definitely going to get the backstory of Dr. Brenner, which is what I think will be of him murdering his family and the abandoned house was actually his childhood house.

"I think he's the kid we see in front of the burning car."

Netflix

Many of the much-loved characters from previous seasons are set to return, along with a number of new faces.

Netflix revealed the new cast members on the Stranger Things Twitter account in November last year.

Robert Englund, who played the famous Freddy Kruger in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, plays Victor Creel - a "disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s."

Eduardo Franco will play Argyle - Jonathan's new BFF.

"We stan a fun-loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizza pies for Surfer Boy Pizza," says Stranger Things.

Jamie Campbell Bower will embody Peter Ballard - an orderly at a psychiatric hospital. "Tired of the brutality he witnesses day after day, will Peter finally take a stand?"

Sherman Augustus will be Lt. Colonel Sullivan - an "intelligent, no-nonsense man who believes he knows how to stop the evil in Hawkins once and for all."

And finally, Mason Dye will be playing Jason Carver - "a handsome, rich athlete who is dating the most popular girl in school."

The Emmy Award-winning retro sci-fi horror was voted the best Netflix series in 2020 by LADbible readers, who were asked to name their favourite Netflix show, so we can imagine the fourth season will seriously deliver.
