A student in Egypt has been dubbed a real-life 'Popeye' after posting a mind-blowing video of his surprisingly hench 'hidden' arm muslces.

Malek Sameh (@maleksaameh), 18, went viral on TikTok after posting a clip of his muscles in action, at first sneakily concealing them with his relaxed pose - pulling the arm of his loose brown t-shirt down to make his arms look smaller.

"Just wait..." a caption on the video said.

Seconds later, he then suddenly flexes his muscles, pulling the sleeve of his top up to his shoulder to reveal his huge bicep muscles, in turn proving that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Sameh posted the video on TikTok, writing: "Don't be fooled guys."

The clip has racked up more than seven million views and 900,000 likes since being posted, with fellow social media users comparing Saleh's physique to the famous cartoon character Popeye the Sailor.

Sameh, who also works as a personal coach, said: "I just had an idea about wearing an oversized shirt since I look very skinny in them.

"I then just pulled up the sleeve and flexed my biceps - and boom, it went crazy viral."

More than 18,000 people have commented on the post to marvel at the teenager's impressive muscles, with one person asking: "Bruh how that hidden?"

Someone else said: "Where were you hiding those guns?"

A third wrote: "I really really really didn't expect that like really didn't expect that at all."

Others said they 'gasped', while one simply asked what such 'sorcery' was going on.

One other person quipped: "What in the Popeyes and spinach is going on!!!!"

And Popeye wasn't the only famous cartoon character that Sameh was compared to; some TikTokers even said he looked like Spongebob Squarepants in an episode where the character wears inflatable muscle sleeves.

Game of Thrones star Liam Cunningham also surprised people recently with his toned physique, having joked on Instagram that he's 'keeping rigor mortis at bay' by hitting the gym.

The actor, who played Davos Seaworth in the popular fantasy series, celebrated his 60th birthday earlier this week, and decided to mark the occasion by sharing a photo of himself at the gym.

He wrote: "Keeping rigor mortis at bay as 60 is about to hit me like an eighteen wheeler! Huge thanks to Paul and Siobhan at @bodybyrne."

In the snap, he sits casually on a weights bench wearing shorts and a vest - showing off his impressively muscly arms.

Fans flocked to the comments to remark on the 'gun show', with his Game of Thrones co-star Sophie Turner writing: "B***y hell," adding three fire emojis - Lena Heady also following suit on the emoji front.
