With millions of people now forced to stay at home because of the coronavirus pandemic, many are unable to work and are struggling to pay their bills.

In a bid to give her fans some support during this extraordinarily difficult time, Taylor Swift has been gifting them $3,000 (£2,500) to help get through it. What a woman.

The popstar has been contacting some of her Swifties on social media and sending them thousands of dollars.

One of the recipients of these generous donations was freelance photographer Holly Turner, who had posted about her hardship online.

Speaking to E News, Holly said she couldn't believe it when she saw the singer's message.

She told them: "I saw that she had just started following me on Tumblr, so I was jumping around and screaming about that, and then I saw that the top post on Tumblr was about the fact that I was financially struggling and I thought, 'There's no way she's following me because of that.'

"Then I started losing my mind even more."

Holly lives in New York City, but following the outbreak of the disease has been unable to leave her home, meaning she has not been able to work and was struggling to cope.

She explained: "I wasn't going to be able to stay in my apartment after May, if it weren't for this.

"I have been working my entire life to be able to live in New York City and I thought that was going to be taken, and she saved that for me. So, I am just so, so, so grateful."

Along with the money, Taylor also left a sweet message thanking Holly for her support. It read: "Holly, you've always been there for me. I want to be there for you right now. I hope this helps. Love, Taylor."

And once she's back on her feet, the superfan says it's her dream to work with the 'Shake it Off' singer.

Holly added: "My biggest dream in the entire world would be to be able to photograph Taylor Swift."

But she isn't the only one who has been contacted by Taylor asking if she could help them out.

Several other fans have shared screenshots of direct messages they have received from the superstar.

Writing on Twitter, Samantha Jacobs, who lives in Orlando, Florida, posted a pic of her message, which read: "Samantha, I saw your tweet about being stressed about bills piling up and I want to help. What's the best way I can gift you $3,000? Do you have PayPal? Love Taylor."

LADbible has contacted Taylor Swift's representatives for comment.
