Samsung's New Laser Projector Puts Huge 4K Picture On Your Wall

Samsung's new 4k projector won't come cheap, but can be set up right by a wall.

It's always a bug bear for those who prefer a projector display to a TV in their home - where do you put the projector? Samsung have solved the problem.

No longer do you need to worry about putting it high enough to avoid picking up your housemate's shadow, while cradles can be a thing of the past: the new Samsung projector The Premiere is an ultra short throw device that delivers a pristine 4k quality picture, while taking up barely any space in your room.

The ultra short show nature of Samsung's new electronic gadget means that you can set it up right next to a wall and project from underneath, meaning there's no one getting in the way of the picture.

For those of the home cinema persuasion, The Premiere comes in two different sizes.

You can either purchase the 120-inch LSP7T, or if you really want to get that big screen experience without getting off your sofa, there's also a whopping 130-inch LSP9T to enjoy. Both come with bulbs that provide a peak brightness of up to 2,800 ANSI lumens (that's pretty bright, trust us) and they support all the latest tech including HDR10+ tech and Samsung's Smart TV platform.

Sound quality? Up there with the best, with both models coming with built-in subwoofers and Acoustic Beam surround sound.

As you would expect with such an impressive spec, it's unlikely these new projectors are going to come cheap.

Samsung hasn't officially dropped the RRP yet, but it's worth noting The Premiere is part of the company's Lifestyle Product portfolio. This includes The Sero, which can cost up to £1299, the Serif - another level up at up to £1499 - and the Frame, which at up to £2799 tops the lot.

There's also the recently announced Terrace, an outdoor TV that looks equally pricey and so it's safe to say that if you're wanting to shell out for The Premiere you'll be spending a fair penny.

Samsung haven't yet confirmed a release date for the new projector, vaguely claiming it'll arrive 'later this year.' If you've got the cash though and you love your movies, this one is surely for you.
