Teenager Flags Down Police After Getting Chained To Lamp Post

The young lad was stuck for hours before officers stopped to give a helping hand

A teenager was forced to flag down a passing police car after his mates chained him to a lamp post. LOL.

The unlucky lad spent hours chained to a post on St Saviours Road in the Evington area of Leicester recently after his so-called friends trapped him with a bike lock.

Eventually, however, he was saved after managing to hail down a police vehicle at around 9pm on Sunday (26 July).

The helpful officers used bolt cutters to free the hapless teen, but not before getting a few snaps of him tied up to share on their social media channels. Nice to see they've got their priorities straight.

Officers with the Hamilton, Humberstone, Northfields and Thurncourt neighbourhood team shared the hilarious photographs on Twitter.

His pals played a pretty mean trick on him.

But they at least cropped out the lad's face from the pics to save him some embarrassment.

The teen told police that his friends had locked him to the pole for a prank.

A tweet from the force read: "As they say, 'every day's different' in policing.

"Well, it certainly was this evening, when we were flagged down by this young lad who been tied to the post by his 'friends' for a joke.

"The bolt croppers came to the rescue."

A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: "At around 9pm on Sunday, officers came across a youth in St Saviours Road who was fastened to a lamp post.

The cops managed to take a couple of photos before freeing the teen.

"Officers spoke to the youth, who said it had been done by friends as a prank.

"They used bolt cutters to free him."

And while this was quite a cruel prank to play on their mates, it's definitely a lot safer for work and also actually just a lot funnier than a recent 'joke' played by two YouTubers.

Lauren Dascalo and Daisy Keech documented what happened when they decided to spend 24 hours naked - and even went to the supermarket:

In the video the cheeky pair take a trip to the supermarket to pick up some groceries in the buff, leaving fellow customers gobsmacked.

Announcing their plan in the video, the pair explain, 'Today we are going to prank people, naked,' before adding that they will be ordering food in the buff and going out in public sans clothing, too.
