The Amazing UK Weather Is Set To Continue Through The Rest Of The Week

The Met Office is predicting that the heatwave that we are all enjoying is set to keep it up until the end of the week at least

If you thought that this heatwave was going to stop, then think again. The beer garden weather is set to continue with nothing but sunny skies forecasted for the next week.

Let's all stop a moment to think about this: Love Island is on the telly (optional), England are smashing it at the World Cup, the sun is shining non-stop. If it wasn't for the national halloumi shortage, I would say that we've never had it so good.

Yesterday was marked as the hottest day of the year - 30.2C in Hawarden, Wales - and we can expect that record to be challenged, according to Simon Partridge of the Met Office.

The Met Office

"High pressure is well and truly in charge which is continuing to bring dry, settled and sunny weather across many parts of the UK," said the forecaster.

"Temperatures are continuing to increase - we saw 30.2C in Hawarden which would make it the warmest day of the year.

"There is a little bit of low cloud and coastal mist down the eastern side of the UK, tempering temperatures a little bit around 14-16C. But other than that it's wall-to-wall sunshine."

The heatwave is not all sunshine and barbeques, though. There have been bushfires on the moors outside of Manchester and the government have issued the standard warnings surrounding hot weather and swimming in open water.

Still, we shouldn't let that put a downer on this amazing string of sunny days.

Simon Partridge said: "Tomorrow is a repeat performance. There is cloud in the east first thing in the morning, but that will burn off by 9am."

"Another dry, fine and warm day. Potentially we could see temperatures a touch higher, most likely in the western parts of the UK.

"The eastern coast will be a touch cooler because of the easterly breeze.

"By the end of the week, we will see temperatures just gently ease off a touch as we head through Friday and Saturday but we're still looking at the mid 20s, so well above what they should be at this time of year."

"Sunday would see a little bit of rain in the far north of Scotland," added Simon.

"There's a risk of thundery showers in southern and south west England late on Sunday - there's a hint of something heading our way. But things are set to stay on the more settled side as we head into July."

You know what that means, get to the beer garden.
