Given that when you go in for surgery you're completely out of it, the surgeons could literally talk about anything.
If I were on the table, and they were discussing me, I'd accept nothing other than 'blimey, cracking body'.
That's not what Ethel Easter found when she secretly recorded what was being said during her surgery.
Ethel was made to wait 2 months for her hernia operation, and had some choice words for her surgeons for making her wait that long.
Because of that, the doctors operating on her had some words of their own.
In the recording they can be heard saying: "She's a handful. She had some choice words for us in the clinic when we didn't book her case in two weeks. I'm going to call a lawyer and file a complaint *laughs*."
Ethel told Fox26 that on the recording you can hear the doctors saying they feel sorry for her husband. They then go on to make a vile comment about inappropriately touching her while she's unconscious.
Ethel, of Harris County, Texas, told Fox26 that she has insecurities about her belly button. It made her horrified when she could hear one of the nurses laughing and saying: "Did you see her belly button?".
Although Ethel decided to go public with her story, she has no intentions of suing.
