Joe Exotic has teamed up with a fashion designer to release a revenge-themed range of clothing.

The central protagonist in the Netflix hit docuseries Tiger King has collaborated with brand Odaingerous to launch a line of street-wear apparel that is 'bold, iconic, edgy and Odaingerously unapologetic.'

Exotic - real name Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage - is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence having been convicted of numerous animal abuse charges and a murder for hire plot to kill Big Cat Rescue CEO Carole Baskin.

From behind bars though he put pen to paper on a six-month collaboration with Odaingerous, having begun a correspondence with the label's founder Odain Watson through hand-written letters.

Discussing how the partnership came about, Odain told In Touch: "I'm a gay minority designer and Joe is a fellow gay person. That connection of being the outsider, we connected on that level of being on the underdog. That's how we connected, he loved my energy.

The Revenge Collection is on sale now.

"I pitched him my idea surrounding the collection and with the theme of revenge and how I admired his ambition and perseverance.

"The best revenge is success and that's what Joe stands for and he's really excited about it, he's not down and out, he's talking about his projects and all he has going on."

The pre-release dropped last Saturday (2 May) and sold out within an hour, making $20,000 (£16,121), according to In Touch.

The range features a number of T-shirts, hoodies, joggers and face masks and Exotic would like to see them branch out further with underwear and lingerie. His husband, Dillon, will be getting involved to model the clothing too once lockdown measures are lifted.

Odain said: "He's so excited, you see a little on the show, he was dabbling in fashion. Once isolation lets off, we're going to be working with Dillon all day and every day."

The hoodies are priced at $59.99 (£48), while joggers cost $49.99 (£40), T-shirts cost $39.99 (£32) and face masks cost $19.99 (£16).
