Team GB's Tom Daley has been eliminated from the semi-final of the Olympic 10m platform diving competition.

The 22-year-old, who won bronze at London 2012, has said he is 'heartbroken' following the loss.

In order to qualify for the final, Daley need to score 102 points.

He managed to get 50.40, with an overall score of 403.25, leaving him in last place. His personal high-point came in Friday's preliminary round, when he racked up 571.85.

"It's really hard to accept. I've worked so hard," said Daley.

"Yesterday I scored the highest score ever in an Olympic Games. Today it wasn't meant to be. That's what diving does sometimes.
