A British-Brazilian TV star who is known as the 'Human Barbie Doll' has officially changed her name to Jessica Alves following a gender transition. Watch below:

Formerly known as the 'Human Ken Doll' due to her extensive plastic surgery, Alves came out as transgender in January 2020.

The 37-year-old recently travelled to her home country of Brazil to officially change her name at a registry office in Santo Amaro, Sao Paolo, and picked up her certificate.

Speaking about the exciting news, Alves said: "I'm very happy because I got my new birth certificate today, here in Santo Amaro where I was born and registered.

"For me, it's a very important achievement. Now my name is correct, as it should be. I'm very happy and I need to celebrate. Where is a nightclub here in Sao Paulo? And thank you all for the loving messages."

Last year, she appeared on the British daytime show This Morning, where she discussed her decision to change her name to Jessica.

She said: "I have been developing as a person and as a human being. I was born a transgender woman.

"Throughout the years you have known me, I was fighting the fact that I have always been a woman inside myself."

Alves, who has a British father, shot to fame in the UK due to her multiple plastic surgeries when she identified as a man, attracting a huge social media following and global fame.

She was regularly interviewed for documentaries and series covering the topic of beauty.

Alves reportedly underwent 75 plastic surgeries during her transition and now says she is happy with who she is.

She told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: "My life will start now. I'm going to continue doing television shows. I've done more than 400 television shows as a man and will continue as a woman."

Some reports said she has spent over GBP half a million on various operations over the years.

She went on to discuss the topic of sex and how she looks at her new 'self-lubricating' vagina 'all the time' and couldn't wait to have sex.

"The aesthetics of my vagina is exactly the same as a biological vagina. I look at it all the time," she said.

"In three months' time it's going to behave in the same way as a biological vagina; it's elastic and it self-lubricates as well."

During a trip to the resort town of Yalikavak in the Turkish province of Mugla in September 2020, Alves shared a clip of her showing off her new curves while wearing a swimsuit in a bar.

In the clip, she is seen showing off her new look while wearing a leopard-print swimsuit in a beach bar.

Alves accompanied the video with the simple message: "Feeling good!"
