Calvin Harris Leads Tributes For Swedish DJ Avicii Who Has Died Aged 28

As reports emerge surrounding the death of Avicii, let's take a look at tributes that have started rushing in.

Celebrities are paying tribute to the Swedish-born producer and DJ who has been found dead in Oman.

Fellow DJ, Calvin Harris, is leading the emotional tributes.


The musician, who's real name is Tim Bergling was just 28.

His publicist Diana Baron confirmed the news in a statement that the DJ was in Muscat, Oman when he passed away.

His cause of death is currently not known.

Avicii was known as a pioneer of the Electronic Dance Movement.

Throughout his 12 year career he took home two MTV Music Awards, one Billboard Music Award and earned two Grammy nominations.

Rita Ora has paid tribute to her 6.9 million followers.The pair's hit 'Lonely Together' was Avicii's last performance.


Music band, Imagine Dragons have said: "devastated at the news of @Avicii passing. working with him was one of my favorite collaborative moments. far too young. the world was a happier and fuller place with his presence and art. sending all my love to his friends and family. Xxdr"


Singer-songwriter Charlie Puth told his fans: "Wow, I would like to take a moment to pay tribute to the man who really opened my eyes as to what my productions could one day sound like. @Avicii was a genius and a music innovator, and I can not believe he is no longer with us. RIP to the very best."





One fan has taken to Twitter saying: "I am absolutely gutted to hear about Avicii passing reminiscing big time right now. Here's to Avicii the music and the memories."

Another loyal fan wrote: "This can't be happening. My day has literally just turned upside down. Seeing you in 2016 was beyond amazing and I'll cherish those moments forever. RIP"

The Wake Me Up star's passing was confirmed by his rep today to the shock of people all over the globe.
