An angry US resident who attempted to daub 'White Lives Matter' across their fence was left looking like a bit of a t*t after they managed to misspell the word 'white'.

A neighbour saw the person finishing up their poorly spelt handiwork, which had white written as 'wighte'.

In a clip shared on TikTok, a woman can be heard saying: "This cannot be real," while others are laughing in the background.

The clip has racked up more than 5.5million views and has been flooded with comments from people taking the p**s.

One person wrote: "Damn, times is hard for wighte people out there."

A second person joked: "As a wighte person. We do not claim them."

While a third added: "This video made me forget how to spell white for a whole minute."

Others pointed out that it's very unlikely the painter would be able to fit the rest of the letters from 'matter' into the space they had left.

Meanwhile, in the UK,a Burnley fan who took responsibility for flying a 'White Lives Matter' banner over the Etihad lost his job.

Jake Hepple, 24, worked for aviation firm Paradigm Precision in Lancashire, but has now been dismissed from his employment following his involvement in the incident - which involved the plane flying over the stadium just after players and coaches had taken a knee in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.

A spokesperson from Paradigm Precision told Sky Sports : "We have concluded our investigation into the conduct of one of our employees in relation to an incident at the Burnley v Manchester City match, as well as other related manners.

"We have concluded that there has been a break of the company's various policies and procedures. The individual no longer works for the company.

"Paradigm Precision does not condone or tolerate racism in any form and is fully committed to diversity and inclusion."

While Burnley captain Ben Mee slammed Hepple's actions, saying: "We, as a group of players condemn it, we're ashamed, we're embarrassed.

"It definitely had a massive impact on us to see that in the sky. We were embarrassed, disappointed, upset. We are embarrassed that our name was in it.

"That they tried to attach it to our club - it doesn't belong anywhere near our club. Fans like that don't deserve to be around football."

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Hepple denied he was a racist, saying: "I've got lots of black and Asian friends and this banner was actually inspired by the Black Lives Movement."
