Remember the retired vicar who entered an open relationship with his twenty-something boyfriend?

Well, it looks like the pair are done with experimenting and have sealed the deal by moving in with each other in Bucharest.

Eighty-one-year-old Philip Clements, a retired Church of England vicar, and his partner Florin Marin, 27, got married three years ago in Kent after meeting on the online dating site Gaydar.

The pair split and Clements moved back to the UK due to Marin's late-night clubbing, but they eventually rekindled their love in 2018 and decided to enter an open relationship.

However, this week Clements announced that they're trying out monogamy again and, last month, he moved back to the Romanian capital - although Marin is still free to go out and enjoy his 20s.

The ex-vicar told The Sun: "He understands me much better and I understand him much better.

"I know when he's busy not to disturb him and to give him space. He goes to the gay club in Bucharest once a week and I'm fine with that.

"He must have space to be with younger people, it's very important when there's this big age difference. We've both learnt a lot."

Clements previously sold his home in the UK to fund his new life travelling the world with Marin. The pair - who have a 55-year age gap - are now living off the former's teaching and church pension to stay afloat.

Now the younger of the two is hoping to find a managing job so that they can save up and continue travelling.

"We do have to watch the money but Romania is cheaper than in England so the money goes further," Clements added.

"We have enough to live on and enough to go to the cinema and out for a meal occasionally.

"This time, I'm much more confident about being in Romania - last time I didn't know anybody, didn't know the language. Now it's getting much better."

They're now living in a two-bed home in the city, enjoying day trips and spending time together.

Unfortunately, Clements has suffered from ill health of late, undergoing heart surgery last year before breaking five ribs - but he's happy that his partner has stayed by his side along the way.

"When I was in hospital, Florin came to visit me everyday and spent two to three hours visiting me," he said.

With numerous articles and TV shows, there has been an incredible amount of interest in their relationship, with Florin being labelled a 'gold digger'.

However, the aspiring model said: "I don't care what people say. They have never met me.

"I like the publicity all the time, actually I will die if I'm not once a month on TV.

"I like the name [gold digger] but not what it means."
