Viewers Ridicule Tipping Point Contestant Over 'Most Ludicrous' Answer Ever

Viewers of ITV's Tipping Point couldn't believe the answer the poor woman gave.

ITV viewers have been ridiculing a recent Tipping Point contestant after she answered the 'most ludicrous' answer ever.

This particular episode of Tipping Point was believed to be on yesterday afternoon (Sept 30) and the clip has since gone viral. Watch below:

The question posed to the contestant was: "Which UK political party shares its name with a collective noun for moles?"

First of all, I think a few of us would probably struggle to answer that one.

However, viewers of the show can't quite believe the howler of a response the woman gave.

Ok, so the actual answer is 'Labour' for those that don't know.

But I think it's best to spare a thought to the poor woman that got it wrong.

Host Ben Shepard firstly asked the question to a different contestant, but she opted to pass it on to a woman named Alice, where she happened to give a quite ridiculous answer.

The first contestant said: "You can pass this to Alice if you're not sure.

"I'm not 100 percent certain so I'm gonna pass it to Alice, I think."

Well, this is when Alice took over and added: "For some reason liberal democrats is shouting out to me, I'm not sure why.

"I think I'm gonna go with liberal democrats."

Following the obviously wrong answer, Shepard himself looked as if he was about to burst out laughing.

Following the TV blunder, viewers were full of sarcasm on social media... something that was expected, it's safe to say.

One user joked: "I'll be honest, I assumed it was Tories."

Whilst a second added: "Was it the right answer? Don't leave us hanging."

Another user commented: "Obviously it is a UKIP of moles!"

"Before the great mole merge of 1987 they were just known as a Liberal of European moles or an SDP of Eastern moles," a fourth user added.

And amazingly so, the Liberal Democrats admin even got involved by uploading a photo on Twitter:

The photo of their usual campaign logo joined by a - rather cleverly - photoshopped mole was captioned with: "New signs arriving any day now."

Not bad for effort, we must say!
