Woman Reacts To Seeing Heavily-Tattooed Boyfriend For First Time Without Ink

An Australian man who has been modifying his body since the age of 11 has shown how he'd look if he now reversed the process - and given his girlfriend a surprise to boot.

24 year-old Ethan has had a passion for body art since he was a boy and has been modifying his body ever since, with tattoos covering his torso and face to the extent he can't remember the exact number of how many that he's had done.

His first body modification, meanwhile, came at 11 years old when he had his ears stretched and he hasn't looked back from there. Among his more noticeable modifications include tattooing the whites of his eyes and bifurcating his tongue.

"I just didn't want to look like everyone else," he says in the video, which is part of the Transformed webisode series.

Ethan's commitment to the ink has been a passion that's lasted long enough that his current girlfriend Meg has only ever seen her partner with tattoos. However, with the help of a make-up artist he thought he'd give her a chance to see what lies underneath.

"People look at it like me getting tattooed and modified has a deeper meaning than it really does," he says "At the end of the day, I do all this to my body because I think it looks cool, and that's pretty much the bottom line."

The video then shows him begin the two and half hour process to cover up his tattoos using make-up with the help up make-up artist Suzi. First of all a bright pink base layer is added to Ethan's skin, with a layer of makeup that matches his natural skin tone then added on top. "I already feel kind of naked," he says after his arms have been covered up. However, he does add: "It's a lot nicer than getting tattooed."

When the finishing touches have been applied and Ethan finally gets to check himself out in the mirror he's shocked at the results. However he quickly decides that he looks much better with all his body art.

Fortunately for him, his girlfriend agrees. After looking surprised she laughs and hugs him.

"He's still good-looking, but I like him with his tattoos," she says. "I wouldn't change it."

We have to agree. Ethan's looking sharp with all the make-up on but we have to admit his tattoos and body mods make him look pretty cool. Although we draw a line at his bifurcated his tongue.
