Woman Dubbed ‘Golfcart Gail’ Called Out For Calling Cops On Black Dad At Football Game

She had alerted authorities when a black man called out to his kid at a football game in Florida

Lately we've seen a worrying trend of reports of apparently highly-strung white women calling the police over black people doing perfectly normal things.

There was the woman who called the cops when she spotted a black man babysitting white children (the horror!), the woman who stopped a black man from entering his own flat (the cheek!) - and now? A woman who alerted authorities when a black man called out to his kid at a football game. Yeah, I know.

Apparently the woman - who the New York Post reports was acting as field marshall - had called the police, claiming that the dad had been yelling at the referee while cheering on his son at the match in Ponte Vedro, Florida.

Sharing the controversy that she'd witnessed, a woman called Ginger Galore Williams took to Facebook with a post titled 'SOCCER WHILE BLACK', writing: "A parent at my son's soccer game had the police called on him for cheering for his son during the game. This man was simply trying to watch his son's soccer game and cheer for him from the sides. He yelled 'The ref is right!' when he saw his kid out there getting frustrated after a call.

She goes on to remind 'Golfcart Gail' that this could potentially have become a much more serious situation than it did.

"Shame on you Golfcart Gail for what you did to this man and to the children who had to see this. Can you imagine how afraid his child must have been to see this happening?! Do you know how quickly in America a situation can go wrong? You probably don't care Golfcart Gail, because you have the privilege of not caring.

"Thank you to the officers who did respond for listening to everyone and making sure the situation was dissolved safely. So long as this shit continues to happen, I will continue to speak out against it. Black Lives Matter. Don't ask me again why I kneel."

Slow. Clap. For. This. Post - which, by the way, has now been shared over 19,000 times.

Another woman called Maria Morale-Walther also recorded the incident. She told First Coast News that 'at no point' was the dad aggressive, but she overheard the field marshall telling a St. Johns County Sheriff's Office deputy that she 'feared for herself and the children because she didn't know what [the father] was capable of'.

First Coast News also reports that deputies did not detain the dad.
