A single mum from Liverpool set a wedding date with a man she met online before discovering it was her ex. Watch video below:

Emma seemed to completely fall for Harry and said that he's 'amazing' and everything she could have hoped for in a guy.

In the clip she said: "He looks amazing, he just ticks every single box. He's literally perfection.

"I'm quite obsessed with the boy to be fair. It's a bit scary. He's an entrepreneur, he's got property portfolios.

"Whenever I speak to him he's always going here, there and everywhere. He's gorgeous, he's fit."

However, she later discovered that the mystery man, Harry, was her ex.

Her doubts began to creep in when Harry would only speak to him on Facetime in a dark room without showing his face properly.

The pair planned to meet and Emma even travelled from Liverpool to an airport in London to see her man face-to-face.

Unfortunately for her, he said he had to cancel the date because he 'missed his flight from Dubai' where he was apparently supposed to be on business.

Emma joined forces with MTV's Catfish UK, with their experts discovering that Harry was not the man he was pretending to be.

The first clue came from Harry's WhatsApp image of the Ferrari that he claimed to drive. It turns out that it was just a stock photo.

The next clue was a photo of himself wearing a hoodie with a brand name on it. After looking up the company, they realised that Harry looked identical to one of their models, named Komal.

It all came crashing down when a host from the show sent a message confronting Harry about their suspicions. Emma was said to have burst into tears when she realised the truth.

Harry tried to keep his fake personality up, despite having a northern accent even though he said he came from London.

The next day, the mysterious man contacted Emma asking if they could meet at the Royal Albert Dock.

However, upon meeting him Emma realised Harry was actually George, an older man she had dated last year.

An upset Emma said: "Are you joking me? This has been you the whole time.

"I've been wasting my time for six months, are you joking?"

Harry explained why he had not revealed his identity earlier.

He said: "Everything I said has been from me.

"I understand I shouldn't have done it, but it's the only way I could think to communicate with her, she's the love of my life."

Despite everything that had happened, George and Emma are now said to be friends.
