A woman has shared a photo of the Christmas lunch that was served to her mum at a care home, which has been compared to 'table scraps'.
The woman posted the photo of the sad-looking meal which consisted of a few slices of ham, some lettuce, tomato and what looks to be half a boiled egg, topped with a sprinkling of cheese.
It had been served up for Christmas lunch at a care home in Byron Bay in Australia.
Sharing the snap she wrote: "Sadly this is the meal given to aged care residents for Christmas lunch.

"My mum couldn't bear to look at it let alone eat."
She asked others what they thought about the meal and most were similarly unimpressed.
One wrote: "Not OK at all. Where's the love? So awful. I'm so sorry."
A second posted: "Sorry but that's f***ed up. Whoever dished that up should be disgusted in themselves."

Another said: "How awful. Looks like table scraps," while a fourth person commented: "Disgusting. The staff wouldn't eat that garbage so why serve garbage?"
The post was shared just days after a shocking study found that almost 40 percent of Australians living in care homes have suffered from neglect, physical abuse or emotional abuse.
Research carried out by the Office of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety earlier this year spoke to 391 residents at 67 facilities in Australia.

Neglect was found to be the most common form of abuse, with 30.8 percent of people saying they had experienced it; followed by emotional abuse, with 22.6 percent; and physical abuse at five percent.
Earlier this year, a British woman was arrested after taking her mother out of her care home without permission from staff over a row about coronavirus restrictions.
Retired nurse Ylenia Angeli, 73, said she was 'terrified' she would never see dementia-suffering mum Tina Thornborough again due to the fresh lockdown in November.
Angeli went to the care home where her mother was staying and wheeled her out, despite the coronavirus restrictions in place.

Police were called and Angeli was detained by officers, before later being released without charge.
Speaking to The Daily Mail at the time, Angeli said: "I will fight with my last breath to get her home. If all else fails, I would gladly go to prison."
