You Can Buy Half Christmas Trees If You Don’t Want To Decorate A Full One

Anyone who’s ever got themselves tangled up in fairy lights or run out of baubles will know it’s not always quite so straightforward

Decorating the tree is one of the most exciting parts of the Christmas experience, as it means the big day is officially on its way.

Whether you're someone who likes to get theirs up as soon as Halloween is over, or you prefer to wait until December rolls around, it's a bit of a magical moment when the time finally comes to carefully place all those pretty decorations on the branches - ideally with a mug of mulled wine in one hand.

...The only thing is, it's also a bit of a faff, isn't it?

We may have sentimental memories of putting the tree up, but anyone who's ever got themselves tangled up in fairy lights or run out of baubles halfway through the job will know it's not always as straightforward as we'd like.

Well, thankfully you can halve the job at hand by buying half a Christmas tree, which does exactly what it says on the tin by offering you 50 percent of the traditional model.

Half Christmas trees - which are also a great option for those with slightly less space to dedicate to seasonal decorations - are available in various places, and for all manner of budgets.

Very is selling a 6ft version for £39.99, which comes with a folding metal stand.

"This may look like a regular Christmas tree, but it's been cleverly designed so that one side is completely flat, so no matter how limited your space might be, you and your family can still enjoy the magic of having a tree in your home," the product description online says.

"Standing an impressive 6ft tall and featuring 511 tips for a lush look, you can stand it flat against the wall to save on valuable floor space... it also means you don't have to worry about any of your favourite decorations being out of sight at the back!"

If you've got a bit more splash to cash, US-based website Hammacher Schlemmer also has an Against The Wall Christmas Tree for $249.95, which bills itself as a 'semi-round Christmas tree that rests against a wall'.

"Ideal for smaller living spaces where a full-sized tree is impractical, it possesses a full tree's width and suggestion of depth due to its lifelike PVC and PE tips," the website says, adding that it also boasts pre-strung white or multi-colour lights.

As that one's only available for those of you in the States, others can also get on eBay to have a brose through the selection there - including one from vidaXL that costs just £28.99.

Just bear in mind that guests may not appreciate the same approach to the turkey...
