'Do You Even Lift Bro' YouTuber Vitaly Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Female Jogger

The YouTuber Vitaly Zdorovetskiy has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a female jogger in Miami.

The 28-year-old - who has more than 28 million subscribers on his YouTube channel - allegedly tackled a jogger to the ground on Miami Beach on Sunday evening before repeatedly punching her in the face and chest, according to an arrest report from the Miami Beach Police Department.

The report said Zdorovetskiy retreated to his home nearby as witnesses arrived at the scene and tended to the victim's injuries, including a one to two inch cut above the eye that would require stitches.

The report said: "The victim stated that she began to desperately scream for help which summoned a few residents and several passersby to the scene, some witnessing the attack on her.

"The victim stated that she believes she was able to escape the defendant's vicious attack on her person because of so many people arriving on scene, causing the defendant to retreat back into his home."

The victim said she didn't know Zdorovetskiy and the attack left her shaken and with a pain in her chest. It is believed the cut above her eye will leave a permanent scar.

Zdorovetskiy faces an aggravated battery charge and was released from jail on Monday after posting a $7,500 (£6,032) bond, records show.

Zdorovetskiy spent five days in prison in Egypt earlier this year after climbing the pyramids of Gaza as part of one of his many video stunts.

He was also behind the Champions League Final streak last year, which saw Kinsey Wolanski invade the field wearing a thong swimsuit brandished with the name of his explicit prank site, Vitaly Uncensored.

He is perhaps best known though for coining the phrase 'do you even lift, bro?' in a video which went viral in 2013.
