Labour MPs Are Trying To Give Jeremy Corbyn The Sack

It's all kicking off.

Here we go again, as if we haven't had enough resignations for one week it's all kicking off in the Labour Party.

Labour's leader Jeremy Corbyn is facing a rebellion because some Labour MPs don't reckon he did enough for the Remain side in the EU referendum, the BBC has reported.

Hilary Benn was sacked as Shadow Foreign Minister overnight after texting round others at the top of Labour to get them to join him in a coup.

Christ, if this is what Hilary is like with people who are meant to be on his side, imagine what he's like with his enemies?

Jeremy was elected as leader by Labour Party members and supporters last September, with 59.5% of the vote - bigger than the other three candidates combined.

But members of his Shadow Cabinet are now expected to resign on mass as a vote of no confidence - over half of them are expected to go.

However, it is being reported that Jeremy is refusing to back down, with his Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell saying he "is not going anywhere."

During the EU referendum Jeremy backed the Remain side, but it has been reported by the Huffington Post that some of his MPs think he did it half-heartedly because he wanted us to Leave.

As you're probably aware, Remain lost and Britain voted to Leave.

David Cameron resigned, Britain's EU Commissioner resigned, the Labour Shadow Cabinet are resigning. Everyone's bloody resigning.

Here's what people have been saying about this latest political shit storm...

Here's what Hilary Benn last tweeted...

He might be a bit of a snake, but that boat race sure looks like fun!

We still can't be sure if Jeremy Cobyn will get the sack.

To be fair, speaking to the BBC about his decision, Hilary Benn has said Corbyn is: "A good and decent man, but he is not a leader, and that is the problem."

He's probably not wrong, Jeremy Corbyn doesn't look like your tradition 'leader', he doesn't like wearing a tie, and he's into gardening and cycling.

But there again Cameron did look like a 'leader' and he stood down as soon as things didn't go his way.

It seems like everyone wants to resign and quit at the moment rather than lead us through a difficult period.

At least it sounds like Jeremy Corbyn is up for it, so maybe being a leader isn't just about how you look.

Or maybe he needs to listen to his MPs and go.
