It happened at a swearing-in ceremony for his senior staff at the White House, and he said: "I just went to the Oval Office and found this beautiful letter from President Obama. Tensions between President Trump and the media are already high, with him calling out several outlets over his campaign and now his presidency. The latest issue was the numbers being reported for the crowds at his inauguration. He claims that the media shared 'misleading' photographs of the crowds, which compared his and Obama's.
Reince Priebus, Mr Trump's chief of staff, said: "The point is not the crowd size. The point is the media has an obsession to delegitimise this president in one day. And we're not going to sit around and take it. We're going to fight back tooth and nail every day and twice on Sunday."
Former presidents leaving their successors hand-written letters is not unusual. For example, Wall Street Journal writer David Feith shared the letter George Bush wrote for Obama...
And here's what Bill Clinton wrote for George Bush..
We can only imagine what Obama wrote to Trump but if we know anything about him, it's that he has class.
