Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau got properly into the Halloween spirit yesterday when he went to work dressed as Clark Kent, only to later reveal he was none other than Superman.

Trudeau showed up for House duties in a smart blue suit, white shirt, red tie and a pair of thick-rimmed specs. As he came down the stairs, after his work was done, he said: "I know it's a big shock to see the Prime Minister dressed as a journalist but...

"You know, gotta do it."

Before pulling open his shirt to reveal Superman's crest underneath.

In celebration of Halloween, Justin Trudeau arrived for House duties dressed as Clark Kent, Superman's alter ego.

Trudeau is already an Internet sensation, so doing this sent Twitter into meltdown.

Former Superman Dean Cain wasn't as easily impressed, though:

But, I think, there's another Canadian politician who isn't getting the credit he truly deserves. Check out MP for Ajax Mark Holland as Ron Burgundy:

Why don't politicians in the UK dress up for Halloween? Are they just scary enough as it is?
