Cristiano Ronaldo had his 'core crusher challenge' record smashed by runner Caster Semenya.
The South African was one of many athletes to take part in the Nike Living Room Cup challenge that has spread across social media during the coronavirus outbreak.
Inviting others to take part, Ronaldo shared a video on his Instagram with the caption: "Hey guys, I have a new challenge for you to stay active: The Living Room Cup. Can you step up and beat my core crusher record? Show me what you got and use #livingroomcup #playinside @nike @cristiano so I can see you!"
In the clip, Ronaldo says: "Hi guys, this is the first edition of the Nike Living Room Cup, I'm joining you to see how many ab crunches I can do in 45 seconds."
The Juventus star managed an impressive 142 reps in 45-seconds but he was later blown out of the water by Semenya who did an eye-watering 176. My stomach hurts just thinking about that...
Sharing the clip on Instagram Semenya wrote: "Hola fellas thanks to @cristiano for his challenge, the beast himself did his best, I also manage to scoop 176 in that space of 45 seconds.
"Not bad for a Sunday keya baba mfo."
Elsewhere, fellow footballers Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot also took part but neither could come close to Semenya, with 117 and 105 reps respectively.
The at-home challenge has been one-way sports stars have been keeping themselves busy during lockdown.
Both Ronaldo and Semenya have seen major sporting events they were due to take part in this summer cancelled, after it was decided to move Euro 2020 to next year and Tokyo moving the Olympic Games back one year, too.
