Get the t-shirts printed, hire the fancy dress, prep the cheapest local bar that plays la Macarena, because Anthony Joshua wants to be Prince Harry's best man.

The heavyweight boxing world champ has popped the real question we want answering in a sly post on Twitter. And, let's face it, this would be amazing.

Prince Harry was guest editor on a BBC Radio 4 Today programme on Wednesday and AJ used that as an opportunity to get in the cheeky request for best man duty having been interviewed on the show.

Just imagine the LADs, about six Sambucas in at the Windsor branch of Tiger Tiger while taking it in turns on the punchbag machine. Stag, Stag, Stag.

Harry's brother, William, might have something to say about it but AJ would be a classic best man. There's probably also only one winner if they fought for the honour, although we're not sure on the laws against delivering an uppercut to a future king.

While editing the Today programme, Harry caused a bit of a surprise by opening up with a grime song.

The track was 'Step Out of Bed' by the Ivy Crew and it was produced by charity Community Recording Studios, which is closely tied to Prince Harry.

Ginger crusader Harry has also interviewed former US President Barack Obama on the show while at the same time lifting the lid on his first Christmas with fiancée Meghan Markle as an engaged couple.

"The family loved having her there," Harry said of Meghan. "There's always that family part of Christmas [where] there's that work element there as well, and I think together we had an amazing time.

"We had great fun staying with my brother and sister-in-law and running around with the kids. Christmas was fantastic."

Harry added regarding the tricky topic of Meghan getting used to Christmas in the royal family: "I think we've got one of the biggest families that I know of, and every family is complex as well.

"No look, she's done an absolutely amazing job. She's getting in there, and it's the family I suppose that she's never had."

More importantly, Anthony Joshua could be the best man that Harry has never had. Even if he doesn't make the cut, hopefully he is at least invited on the stag do before Harry and Meghan tie the knot on 19 May 2018.
