Last night, Khabib Nurmagomedov triumphed over Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 in Abu Dhabi, retaining his lightweight belt.

However, the Russian barely had chance to wipe the sweat off his brow before Conor McGregor was calling for a rematch... in Moscow no less.

The Irishman hasn't fought in the UFC since his spectacular defeat to Nurmagomedov last October and he is not next in line to take on the champion - however, UFC president Dana White said a rematch would 'make a lot of sense'.

According to The Daily Mail, he said: "Tony Ferguson gets the next shot, and obviously, if for whatever reason Tony can't take the fight or doesn't want to fight at that time, then we would figure out what's next. But yeah, Conor would make a lot of sense.

"Conor McGregor wants that fight really badly, and I'm sure the fans would want to see it. So we'll see how this whole thing plays out."

Chaos ensued after their last fight.

Last time the pair met the fight ended in chaos and controversy when Nurmagomedov left the ring and tried to get to one of McGregor's entourage, Dillon Danis, while several of Nurmagomedov's team invaded the octagon to attack McGregor.

Three men were arrested following the fight, but McGregor decided not to press charges.

However, McGregor himself could now face charges after he allegedly punched a man in a pub in Dublin. The incident reportedly took place on 6 April at The Marble Arch Pub and footage appears to show McGregor being dragged out of the pub after taking a swing at the man.

Clearly, there is still no love lost between Nurmagomedov and McGregor, with the Russian claiming McGregor should go to jail for the alleged attack.

Khabib remains undefeated.

Speaking to TMZ Sport, he said: "These people, they have to go to jail. I told you, this guy have no class. No respect.

"This is very bad for sport. Some things he doing good for sport, but right now he without his mind. He lose his mind. It's crazy.

"Government have to smash him. This is my opinion, 'cause I'm really, really mad about this video. I don't understand how you can punch old man."
