Conor McGregor Says Everyone He's Punched Has 'Deserved It'

Conor McGregor has said he's not sorry for a single punch he's thrown, because everyone he's hit has 'deserved it'.

The former UFC champion has thrown plenty of punches in his life - in and out of the Octagon - and he seemingly doesn't regret any of them.

In a tweet, he said: "To anyone that ever got a smack off me I'm not sorry yous deserved it."

It seems the 33-year-old may well regret the tweet though, as it has since been deleted.

Of course, throwing punches as a mixed martial artist is par for the course, but The Notorious has notoriously thrown some more controversial punches too.

The fighter pleaded guilty to assaulting Desmond Keogh in April 2019 at the Marble Arch in Dublin, with security footage showing him punch the 50-year-old after he declined a shot of whiskey.

McGregor was fined €1,000 (£869) for the attack, and in an interview with ESPN last August he apologised for his actions.

He said: "That man deserved to enjoy his time in the pub without having it end the way it did.

"I tried to make amends and I made amends back then. But it doesn't matter. I was in the wrong. I must come here before you and take accountability and take responsibility.

"Whatever comes my way, I will face it. Whatever comes my way, I deserve it.

"People are trying to bait me into things. Am I the fish or am I the whale? I must be calm, I must be zen. I must lead by example.

"I will face this head on. I will not hide from it. I was in the wrong. It was completely unacceptable behaviour for a man in my position."

Obviously, his freshly deleted tweet very much undermines this apology.

Just last month, an Italian DJ claimed McGregor punched him at a hotel in Rome just hours after the baptism of his son in Vatican City.

Francesco Facchinetti claimed the attack was completely unprovoked and occurred while he and his wife were partying with the UFC superstar and took place in front of 10 witnesses at the St Regis hotel.

In a translated post to his million or so Instagram followers - as per MMA Mania - Facchinetti said: "He attacked me without motivation as we talked for more than two hours and we also had fun together.

"I could have shut up and not say anything to anyone, but since I'm here to tell it, I must say that that person is really violent and dangerous."
