Eddie Hall has revealed that his fight with Hafþór 'Thor' Björnsson has been postponed after he detached his bicep. Watch below:

The former World Strongman champion said he suffered the gnarly injury last Monday (19 July) and underwent surgery to rectify it the following Thursday.

However, despite saying he is feeling good and going through rehab to get back to full fitness, he reluctantly admitted the long-awaited grudge match with the Mountain, set to take place on 18 September, will not happen.

In a video posted to his Instagram account, Eddie explained what happened.

The 33-year-old said: "Little bit of bad news. On Monday I threw a bit of a lazy left hook in training and detached my bicep.

"Good news is I had the surgery on Thursday, it was a complete success. The bicep's reattached - I'm able to move it already, even after two days.

"Bad news is the fight is going to have to be delayed, it won't be going ahead on September 18.

"I'm doing everything I can to recover as quickly as I can and I'm looking forward to getting back to training. I'm most looking forward to ripping Thor's face off."

Following the announcement, a gutted Thor said he would be ready when Eddie overcomes his injury.

"Super disappointed but this is not in my hands," he wrote.

"Next up is finding a new opponent so I can fight in September. I'm taking this extremely serious and I'll be even more prepared. When Eddie is ready, I'll be waiting."

Previously, Thor revealed to LADbible that he wouldn't say no if the opportunity came along to go toe-to-toe with Logan Paul at some point in the future.

The 32-year-old said: "I mean, Logan Paul fought Floyd Mayweather and there was some height difference between those those guys, plus weight difference.

"Logan Paul is 188cm tall, I'm 205cm, so I think there was a similar height differences from Floyd to Logan as Logan to me, but probably more weight difference, though.

"But if he would want to fight me, I wouldn't say no."

However, while he would love the opportunity to go at it with Paul in what would be a mega money bout, Thor said he respects what the Paul brothers are doing in the sport.

He told LADbible: "The sport is getting much more attention for sure [because of the Paul Bothers].

"You know, boxing is always huge, boxing is huge. But getting two brothers like the Paul brothers, who have millions and millions of followers following them, it's just gonna get more attention to the sport. So I think it's a good thing.

"It's a good thing, because they're taking it serious as well. I've seen at the beginning a lot of criticism and stuff like that, but, you know, you have two young brothers that are very successful, very dedicated, and motivated.

"And I have to say, I'm a big fan of them, I'm fan of anyone that's willing to take on new challenges, and of people who just work hard in general, and they work hard."
