Floyd Mayweather made short work of Tenshin Nasukawa in a bizarre exhibition bout in Japan.

The man they call 'Money' knocked his young challenger down three times in the first round before Tenshin's corner threw in the towel.

After beating Conor McGregor last summer, Floyd Mayweather has decided to go back at it with another lucrative stunt - this time taking on young kickboxing prodigy Nasukawa in Tokyo.

Mayweather proved the power of youth doesn't always have the edge, beating Nasukawa easily.

After the fight, Mayweather said: "It was all about entertainment. We had fun. Tokyo, you were amazing, but I'm still retired. We're both still undefeated. Tenshin is still a champion and a great fighter."

Well, one of them had fun. The one that didn't get absolutely tagged with a massive right hand to the chin after about 30 seconds.

It proved to be a total mismatch - Mayweather took one half-decent blow from the challenger before moving in with some brutal shots.

After the third knockdown, Tenshin's corner threw in the towel.

The New Year's Eve exhibition match at Saitama Super Arena in Japan was part of RIZIN's MMA card and consisted of three three-minute rounds, with 20-year-old Nasukawa forbidden from whipping out any kickboxing moves.

"People in Japan, listen. I will take down Mayweather," Nasukawa said ahead of the fight.

"You should look forward to it."

Meanwhile, Mayweather promised to 'entertain' when speaking to press at a news conference, while also bragging on Instagram that he'd be earning a cool $9 million for the fight.

Mayweather wrote: "What if I told you I was making $9,000,000 for 9 minutes of sparring in Tokyo Japan would you do the same if you were me? I like to call it a 9 minute walk thru."

Not bad. Works out at about £13,000 a second according to our terrible maths.

With various commercial add-ons, it could amount to around $69m for the fight as a whole, according to Tokyo-Sport.

Mind you, that's a drop in the ocean compared to the $300 million Mayweather reportedly made from his August 2017 fight with controversial Irish MMA star Conor McGregor - who he beat in 10 rounds.

And it seems McGregor might still be a little bit peeved with that loss, having struck out at his undefeated boxing rival at the November press conference for Mayweather's fight with Nasukawa with some pretty foul-mouthed trash talk.

Sharing a photo of Mayweather and Nasukawa, McGregor wrote: "Is that a tracksuit or a sauna suit Floyd haha wtf. Is it hot in Tokyo or what's the story here? That climate change is no joke fuck me hahaha.

"What in the fuck is going on here? Who's this little prick next to you? That's mad shit. Like something out of rush hour 5 or something.

"Chris tucker and Jackie fucking Chan back in this bitch. Fucking brilliant.

"Mad little bastard you are Floyd. Fair fucks to you mate. No lie. Fuck it."

Erm... Wow.
