Former Boxing World Champion Bets $50,000 Logan Paul Will Knockout Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Former Boxing World Champion Bets $50,000 Logan Paul Will Knockout Floyd Mayweather Jr.

A former boxing world champion has bet $50,000 that Logan Paul will knockout Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Regis Prograis says Paul will be too big for the undefeated legend, and that he will surprise a lot of people when they get in the ring tonight.

Paul tipped the scales at a whopping 189.5lbs at the weigh-in last week, dwarfing Mayweather's 155lbs.

And the former world super-lightweight champion has put money on Paul coming out victorious.

Taking to social media, Prograis said: "Tonight is the night, Mayweather is going to lose. Logan Paul is over 30lbs bigger. They make weight classes in boxing for a reason.

"I'm putting up 50K that Logan will get the KO. You heard it here first."

And if he does actually place the bet, he stands to win around $200,000, which isn't too bad.

Speaking ahead of their exhibition bout at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium, Paul told reporters that he was ultra-confident of ending Money's incredible winning streak.

He said: "There's a moment that goes through every fighter's mind. Everyone we spar, everyone Jake's beat.

"When we hit them, they realise, 'Oh, he might not just do YouTube. This guy really put his heart and soul in this.'

"I hit hard. I think you're going to see Floyd's eyes light up, the first time I hit him."

And Floyd isn't the only world champ that is looking to take a pop at him.

Last week, the social media star revealed that Tyson Fury had offered him the chance to go toe-to-toe.

Discussing the prospect of taking on the heavyweight champion of the world, he said: "I am so ready for Floyd but one boxer I don't want to fight is Tyson Fury.

"He pitched me in my DMs and said my brother can fight Tommy Fury and I can fight him.

"But I was like, 'No, I'll pass'."

Maybe he should have demonstrated this kind of caution when he was asked whether he wanted to go a few rounds with Money, a man who is 50 and 0 in his professional career, defeating the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez along the way.

I guess we'll see just how good Paul is in a few hours' time, won't we?
