England full-back Kyle Walker has offered to send a load of England shirts to the Thai boys' football team that have spent the last few weeks trapped in a cave by rising floodwater.

The Wild Boars team were safely rescued by a team of foreign and local divers from the cave in Chiang Rai, Thailand after becoming stranded in there by flooding from the torrential rain.

Although they are largely fit and healthy, they are being held in a quarantine at a nearby hospital to make sure that their immune systems are healthy and that they don't get infected.

Their plight has obviously reached the England training camp in Repino, where Kyle Walker and his teammates are currently preparing for their first World Cup semi-final since 1990 tomorrow night.

Manchester City player Walker tweeted: "Amazing news that all of the Thai kids are out of the cave safely! I'd like to send out shirts to them! Is there anyone who can help with an address?"

I'm sure someone will provide an address before long.

In the meantime, the boys - who are all aged between 11 and 17 - are attracting a fair amount of attention from the media. They only got out of the cave in the past few days (some only hours ago) but they have already been invited to the World Cup final on Sunday evening.

Sadly, for them, they will mostly still be in the quarantine at that point, so whilst they'll be able to watch it, they won't be able to make it out to Russia in time.

FIFA told the BBC: "We have been informed by the Football Association of Thailand that due to medical reasons, the boys will not be in a position to travel to Moscow for the FIFA World Cup final.

"FIFA's priority remains the health of everyone involved in the operation and we will look into finding a new opportunity to invite the boys to a FIFA event to share with them a moment of communion and celebration.

"We can also confirm that a meeting with the Football Association of Thailand is scheduled to take place in Moscow around the FIFA World Cup final."

Still, they'll all get England shirts from Kyle Walker. You'd think that he could convince a few of his mates to sign them, as well.

They might just have the shirt of the winning team, at this rate.
