An eagle-eyed England fan has spotted a 'hidden message' in the Queen's letter to Gareth Southgate.

Ahead of today's Euro 2020 final, the Monarch wrote a message to the England manager sending him 'good wishes' for the game.

In the letter, addressed to Mr Gareth Southgate, OBE (Manager), the Queen wrote: "55 years ago I was fortunate to present the World Cup to Bobby Moore and saw what it meant to the players, management and support staff to reach and win the final of a major international football tournament.

"I want to send my congratulations and that of my family to you all on reaching the final of the European Championships and send my good wishes for tomorrow with the hope that history will record not only your success but also the spirit, commitment and pride with which you have conducted yourselves."

But Twitter user Matt Singh reckons he's spotted a 'hidden message' and managed to carefully pick out the words 'it's coming home' from letters used within the statement.

Sharing the post, Matt joked: "Hidden message within the Queen's message..."

The Queen clearly knows it's coming home.

Matt's post has since gone viral, racking up 19,000 likes and plenty of comments.

One wrote: "I'm screaming laughing. Must share this with my mate from England."

Another commented: "This is hilarious! Well played sir. Oh and it's really coming home!"

A third posted: "This is why I'm on Twitter."

The Queen isn't the only royal to send on her best wishes to the squad.

Grandson Prince William, who is president of the Football Association, also sent out a message in which he urged the team to 'bring it home'.

He said: : "Gareth (Southgate), Harry (Kane), and to every member of the England team on and off the pitch, I just want to wish you the very best of luck for tonight.

"What a team performance it's been. Every member of the squad has played their part, and all the back room team as well have been truly essential.

"I can't really believe this is happening. So exciting and I just wish you the very best of luck.

"You bring out the very best of England and we are all behind you. The whole country is behind you. So, bring it home."
