UFC Fighter Mike Perry Suffers Brutal Nose Break Against Vicente Luque

He definitely caught him...

A UFC fighter has been left with one of the most incredible broken noses that you're ever likely to see after an event in Uruguay.

Welterweight MMA competitor Mike 'Platinum' Perry entered the Octagon for UFC Fight Night at the Antel Arena on Saturday to scrap with Vicente Luque.

He left with his nose splattered all across his mush.

Seriously, even by MMA standards - where getting a broken nose is all in a day's work - this looks like a sore one.

Yeesh.

The pair managed to take their fight the whole distance in the end, but Perry eventually lost the fight.

Two judges out of the three at ringside ruled in favour of Luque, but both fighters left the ring with their reputation intact - even enhanced - after a brutal co-main event.

During the third round, Perry managed to walk straight into a flying knee from his American-born Brazilian opponent that - as you've already seen - left quite the impression on Perry's nose.

Yep, he didn't miss.

Despite the result going against him, Perry still managed to dictate the narrative after the fight, although much of the post-fight chat was about the state of his face, rather than anything else.

UFC supremo Dana White was amongst those to pass comment following the bloody match-up.

White simply posted a shocked face emoji with a picture of Perry's extraordinarily crooked beak.

Social media users have been queuing up to pass remark, as well.

One Twitter user said: "If you've ever been tempted to get into MMA, just take a look at what happened to Mike Perry's nose after his #UFCUruguay fight against Vicente Luque."

Presumably they are saying don't get into MMA?

Another observer added: "Easily worst nose break I've seen in a fight ever. Perry and Luque are tough as hell."

Yeah, it's pretty gross. You'd have to have some cojones to carry on with an injury like that.

On the post-show after the event, ESPN confirmed that Perry was taken to a hospital where he had a CT scan on his head.

Apparently, he was having some trouble breathing after the fight.

It's not all doom and gloom for him, though. It was also announced that the pair had bagged an additional $50,000 prize after their bout was adjudged to be the Fight of the Night.

That's more than enough money to pay for a decent doctor to sort his nose out, so all's well that ends well.
