The Premier League game between West Ham United and Burnley at the London Stadium was in chaos today due to constant trouble in the stands.

Fans were unhappy with club owners David Sullivan and David Gold due to their perceived mis-management of the club, with fans holding banners and chanting 'Sack the board'.

At one point the game was interrupted by a pitch invasion which saw fans clashing with West Ham players and stealing one of the pitch's corner flags. Fans said they could see no police in the ground to help control the situation.

Fans later turned their attention to Sullivan and Gold in person, running up to the directors' box in large numbers to show their displeasure to the owners.

Police later arrived en masse to protect the owners as they were escorted from the ground ahead of the final whistle to avoid clashes with supporters.

Burnley won the game 3-0 thanks to an opening goal from Ashley Barnes and two follow-ups from Chris Wood, leaving West Ham in 16th perilously close to the relegation zone.
