Street Singer Divides Opinion With Response To Man Who Slated Her Singing

Street Singer Divides Opinion With Response To Man Who Slated Her Singing

The singer from Stoke-on-Trent uploaded a viral TikTok video of her encounter with a heckler

A street singer has divided opinion with her response to a man who wanted her to 'shush'. Watch the viral vid below:

Samantha Lloyd, from Stoke-on-Trent, is an artist who performs at gigs, parties and weddings, but in her spare time she loves to perform on the streets.

The Staffordshire-based singer has reportedly been singing from a very young age and although she's encountered hecklers, as with most performers, some actually get a response.

As shown in the clip, she was recently performing her singing act on the street when a man approached her and offered '£20 for you to shush'.

Lloyd captioned the vid: "I am sick of boys being rude to me," before she absolutely got her own back on him.

"That's rude," she shouted into the mic.

"Say it to my face. Come on. And I'm serious, mate, come say it to my face

''Yeah, you can keep walking! Off you go, little boy.''

''Little boy,'' she repeated.

''Little boy with a little...''

Uh Oh.

She added: ''Obviously got a complex if you want to abuse women in the street.''

Once she was done, she apologised to the audience, as shown in another video.

On her TikTok post, Lloyd wrote: "Sorry, I lost my patience here and reacted badly but this is nearly everytime I busk."

Since uploading the clip last month (13 Nov) her vid has racked up a mega 20.5 million views with over four million likes.

However, her response to the heckler sparked a large debate in the comments.

Some users agreed with her rant and felt the heckler deserved to be called out for his rude comment.

One wrote: "Thanks for embarrassing him."

"I think she reacted perfectly," a second commented.

A third agreed: "Is it just me who loves the way you handled it?"

Although others took the side of 'the little boy' and felt her attitude wasn't professional.

"She has some attitude, need to take a slagging off you're a singer not everyone will like you," someone else wrote.

Another added: "You have to be strong to make it in that business, if you can't handle it then don't do it."

''Couldn't of handled it any worse,'' a final user thought.
