Bebo Is Set For A Comeback In 2021

Just when you thought the world couldn't get any more ominous

Good news for anyone of a certain age who yearns for a simpler time - around 15 years ago - before the world became obsessed with TikTok challenges, Twitter rants, and Facebook family feuds.

Bebo is making a return. Yes, that Bebo.

Yes, in the days of social media's infancy, it was all about MySpace, MSN Messenger, and Bebo.

Bebo was a mainstay, and anyone who was a teenager in the 2000s will undoubtedly have had a profile.

However, this return is going to be slightly different. After all, the world has turned and left the original Bebo behind.

So, what have they done to bring it kicking and screaming into these wretched times?

Bebo

Well, apparently they've rebranded as a 'brand new social network' to launch in February 2021.

The website is currently live, but is only a holding page for anyone who has been lucky enough to be granted a beta program can log in.

It reads: "We are currently in private beta. If you've been invited please enter the password below."

In an article in the Metro, the Bebo experience is described thusly: "From overly personal quizzes to song lyrics about your other half, we put our whole angsty teenage lives on there.

"These were the things we were all guilty of that leave our cheeks a bright shade of scarlet now."

Unsurprisingly, the news that Bebo is making a comeback in 2021 has been of great interest to a number of people online.

Everyone is getting ready for the anxiety of deciding who makes it into their top friends once again.

One person wrote: "Can't wait to pick my top 16, other half and share three luvs a day oxox"

Another said: "With Bebo coming back i'm ready for everyone adding ';;; <3 xx' to the end of everything they type"

A third wrote: "I'm not sure in the midst of the global pandemic I can cope with the anxiety of picking my top pals again..."

We'd better get used to the idea, because it's coming, one way or the other.

Let's hope that MySpace and MSN Messenger are following closely behind.
