Some very cool features.

It's tough to keep up with all the updates and new iPhones that seem to come out one after the other. To be honest, it seems as if that they're all the same as each other.

However, according to MacRumours, a complete overhaul of the iPhone could take place in 2017.

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a KGI Securities analyst, 2017 will see Apple readopt the glass-backed design which was used for the iPhone 4, have a curved 5.8-inch AMOLED display and a curved glass casing.

In terms of features it will allegedly include cool things like wireless charging and facial recognition. If my phone can unlock itself by simply recognising my miserable face I'd be highly impressed.

"We expect the 2017 new iPhone model to adopt a structural design similar to that of iPhone 4/4s, meaning it will be equipped with glass on both the front and back sides, and a metal frame surrounded the edges. The difference is that the new model will likely come with a curved screen and curved glass casing, with other important features including a 5.8-inch AMOLED display, wireless charging, and more biometric recognitions (facial or iris). Given the curved design, the new model may look smaller than an existing 5.5-inch iPhone," Kuo said.

This will all make an obvious change from releasing devices that differ in the most subtle ways. There's no mention of whether this specific change will come via the iPhone 8, the iPhone 7s or even the iPhone 8s -1 Plus X SE, which is a possibility of becoming a real thing given the amount of handsets they release.
