Motorola Reveals The Revamped Razr Will Be Hitting Australia Next Month

Hello Moto...

Motorola has finally revealed when Australians will be able to pick up their revamped Razr.

The classic flip phone was all the rage back in the mid-2000s, with everyone lapping up the ultra-thin (at the time) device, which came in gun metal grey, silver and that epic pink.

If you didn't have one of these back in the day then you definitely out of the loop.

But now is your chance to finally claim cool points, as the phone has been updated for the new 2020 decade and will be released next month.

It certainly won't cost the same as its predecessor, unfortunately, and will set you back a casual $2,699.

But the phone still flips and it's a smartphone. Totally worth the price.

Motorola APAC sales general manager Danny Adamopoulos said: "At $2,699, it is a little bit expensive but you are paying for an extremely small device.

"We're definitely targeting the premium end of town.

"This will be something that will be for people who are lifestyle and fashion conscious, CEOs, people who want something different to put on the boardroom table or show to their friends.

"We've had a few thousand people register with inquiries. If we can convert half of those, we'll have good sales."

The phone boasts a 6.2-inch foldable plastic OLED panel and Android 9 Pie, 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, a 16 megapixel front-facing camera (that comes with Night Vision mode), a 5 megapixel internal camera, USB-C port and eSIM.

You can also use the phone's front facing display when it's flipped down.

The Razr will debut Down Under on February 24.
