Well, those mishaps could soon be a thing of the past because Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. has created what they claim to be the fastest commercial charging technology for Android devices.
The Quick Charge 5 promises to deliver unprecedented mobile phone charging speed and efficiency improvements compared to previous versions while enabling new accessories and safety features.

It's engineered to allow users to charge devices from 0 to 50 percent battery power in just five minutes and to full charge in 15 minutes - representing the fastest mobile phone charging capabilities available.

Quick Charge 5 is currently sampling with customers and is expected to appear in commercial devices in Q3 2020
People are clearly pretty excited about the news, with one writing: "Phones at 5 percent, put it on the charger, take a poop, shower, get dressed. You'll be at 55-80 percent probably. Not bad."
Well, when you put it that way, it does sounds ideal.
