Snapchat Is Down With Panicked Users Saying The App Is Not Working

Social media app Snapchat appears to be down as users worldwide complain - yep, that dirty picture you were just about to send will have to wait.
Reports of issues began to flood in around 4pm UK time after users were struggling to load stories with a message appearing that read: "Could not refresh. Please try again."

This probably means there is an issue with the servers which are failing to load up content, according to The Sun.
Around 36% of people who have complained about the problem said they weren't able to receive Snaps or refresh the app.
And a further 31% reported issues with the login system and connecting to the server.

Users have taken to Twitter because they had to go somewhere to vent their frustration.
One said: "Anyone else's snapchat not working? mine keeps saying 'could not refresh please try again'."
Another added: "Is something wrong with Snapchat?"
And a third commented: "Is anyone else's Snapchat acting weird or is it just mine?"
In a tweet, Snapchat Support said: "We're aware that some Snapchatters are having trouble refreshing within in the app. Hang tight - we're working on a fix!"
Snapchat, which launched back in 2011, boats 'the fastest way to share a moment'... oh the irony.
Two weeks ago, the app launched cat lenses so that your pet can share the limelight with you.

According to the Mirror, the social media app has introduced three lenses for cats, meaning the app is now able to detect feline faces, whereas it has previously only been able to detect human ones - as much as we've tried to swap faces with our pet.
The new range of filters include glasses and flower crowns for your kitty, unicorn horns as well as fiery red devil horns and wings.
But, unfortunately we can't get any use whatsoever out of them at the moment...
