Despite the fact it's only been four years since Dermot Kennedy burst onto the music scene, he is already verging dangerously close to national treasure status.

The singer, who originally hails from Rathcoole, has taken the world by storm since he first started releasing music in 2017. In this short space of time, he's gone from busking on the streets of Dublin to playing global mainstages at festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza and SXSW Festival.

He's also managed to rack up a BRIT Award nomination, three UK Top 20 hits and an Irish number one single with his smash hit 'Giants' in 2020.

And now, as if we weren't proud enough of the singer-songwriter, he is returning to native soil later this year to play not one but two nights in Dublin's 3Arena, with all proceeds going towards two extremely worthy charities, Pieta and Focus Ireland.

The star is set to perform his 'You Won't Go Lonely' concert in the venue on December 13 and 14, with tickets going on sale this Friday, November 19 at 9am via Ticketmaster.

"I can't tell you what it means to finally be back on stage in my hometown after nearly two years and I can't wait to see you there, all in aid of two extremely important causes.

"Suicide and homelessness are two issues that are sadly so prevalent in Ireland today. There are so many people that badly need our help, especially at this time of year."
