Four Irish Cities Ranked Among The Best Cities In The World To Find Love

If you've been feeling unlucky in love and contemplating whether a move to a foreign land might be what you need in order to find the one, you may want to not be so hasty as a new study has shown some of the world's best locations for finding love are right here on the Emerald Isle.

The study, compiled by Big Seven Travel, takes a number of criteria into account including which cities have the highest usage rate of Tinder and other dating apps, the population percentage of single people per capita and the overall population of the city - as you don't want a date where you'll bump into the person the next day the company rightfully points out.

Coming in at a very respectable No. 13 is our beloved capital Dublin. "You'll have the luck of the Irish when it comes to dating in Dublin, as it's the 14th most popular city in Europe for Tinder Passport users," writes the travel company.

"Dublin also ranks highly on Nomad List's top Tinder cities in Europe, with users reporting positive reviews of the city's dating scene and its openness to LGBTQ+."

Coming in at No. 25 is the Cork City, Big Seven noted: "The Irish accent is known as one of the sexiest in the world, and Cork holds the honour of 18th most popular Tinder city in Europe according to Nomad List users."

Belfast came in at No. 39 due to it's percentage of single people coming to almost half the entire population of the city.

"Belfast has (at last count!) a grand total of 106,568 single people in the city. That's 46.6% of the city's population, a percentage that's quite promising."

Of course, no list of Irish cities to fall in love in would be complete without a stop in Galway or as it is known in this study - the singles capital of Ireland! The western county ranked at No. 42, still well within the Top 50 cities in the world. Given it is the namesake of love songs by Ed Sheeran and Mundy, how could it not?

"Galway has the highest percentage (at 53.3%) of single people in Ireland, making it extra easy to find your very own Galway Girl. You've some decent chances at finding love in the singles capital of Ireland."
