A young Indian actor who starred alongside Chris Hemsworth in Extraction says the Hollywood star changed his life.

Rudhraksh 'Rudi' Jaiswal was just a kid when he played Ovi Mahajan, the son of an Indian crime lord, in the hit Netflix blockbuster.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the 16-year-old revealed that before he was cast in the movie, he suffered from bullying.

He told the publication: "Before I did Extraction, my life was very different. I was bullied at school, people would try to bring me down and every day I would go home crying."

After several months of filming with Hemsworth, Rudhraksh said he and the Avengers star became friends and stayed in touch, with the Aussie offering him guidance and support.

Rudhraksh added: "He's been guiding me through this journey. If I'm stuck or need advice, I always reach out to him. He's my idol. He always brings out the best in me.

"He also helped me improve my acting techniques and taught me the art of dialogue, voice modulation and taking pauses in between lines."

This heartwarming story comes a few weeks after it was announced the thriller would be getting a sequel.

Joe Russo - one half of the brotherly team who also directed the recent Avengers movies -revealed he has signed a deal that will allow him to start writing the next stage of the movie franchise.

For those of you who aren't up to date with the original - you should definitely see it - it follows Hemsworth's character, a mercenary named Tyler Rake, who is sent to Bangladesh to rescue a drug lord's kidnapped son.

Speaking to Deadline, Joe Russo said it's not yet clear what the sequel will look like, but he's excited to start working on it.

"The deal is closed for me to write Extraction 2, and we are in the formative stages of what the story can be," Russo said.

"We're not committing yet to whether that story goes forward, or backward in time.

"We left a big loose ending that leaves question marks for the audience."

He added that Extraction has plenty of characters to dive into if they want to pursue a sequel, or else they can explore Hemsworth's character's origins.

Russo added: "There was always a simple drive to the story, a balletic execution of action where you take a damaged character who made an egregious mistake in the past and has a shot at redemption which might be fatal.

"What was key is that we needed a muscular action director like Sam [Hargrave] to be the main creative force in the execution of the action."

So keep your eyes peeled for the latest developments.
