If you're of a certain age, then Saturday mornings in the late '90s meant only one thing, SM:TV Live. Kids up and down the country would sit in their pyjamas for hours of fun, singing along to Wonky Donkey and Challenge Ant, and splitting their sides laughing at Friends parody C.H.U.M.S.

If you were born after 2000, however, then this will almost certainly mean nothing to you.

For those of you who do remember, though, Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have revealed that, 17 years after it left our screens, a special reunion episode has been filmed and will air later this year.

Speaking to BBC Radio Two about the exciting news, Dec said they would be teaming back up with co-presenter Cat Deeley.

He said: "There's definitely an SM:TV reunion. We've filmed a show looking back at the story of SM:TV and how it came about. That's going to be on later in the year. We've recorded that already."

The show was filmed as part of a celebration to mark Ant and Dec's 30 years in show business.

And while filming the SM:TV reunion Dec said the trio started to get a bit emotional and even discussed the possibility of filming a one-off episode.

He added: "There's definitely an SM:TV reunion. We've filmed a show looking back at the story of SM:TV and how it came about. That's going to be on later in the year. We've recorded that already."

The reunion show was first proposed last year when Cat appeared on Saturday Night Takeaway to be revealed as the villain behind the Missing Crown Jewels sketch.

The show last aired in 2003.

Ant and Dec mentioned the possibility of having some kind of reunion, to which Cat asked: "Would we be rubbish now?" - only for Ant to quickly remind her: "We were rubbish then!" Bit harsh, Ant. That show is probably the reason why you're a multi-millionaire now.

Anyway, Cat replied: "Okay, let's do it!"

Speaking to Metro at the time, Ant and Dec speculated about what form the reunion could actually take.

They said: "We've been talking to somebody about [a reunion] recently because it's twenty years since the launch of SM:TV next year.

"So, we were saying whether we could do an anniversary special or something, and we got carried away with the idea. If we did a one off, it would be on at 9.25am, with C.H.U.M.S and all that, and get Cat back."
