Daniel Craig is reportedly the highest-paid actor in Hollywood after signing a colossal $100m deal.

With Netflix increasingly dominating the cinematic landscape, the British star is set to make an absolute bundle with his next two films.

Having signed up to star in the upcoming instalments of the Knives Out series, Craig will receive 'north of $100m' for playing the quirky private detective Benoit Blanc.

According to Variety, this is due to the fact that the streaming site compensates its actors for the 'projected back-end box office participation' they would receive if their films were to be released exclusively in cinemas.

And with 'salary bumps' Craig would likely receive for the second and third films in the series, the Bond actor is looking at a very hefty paycheque at the end of it all.

According to the news outlet, Dwayne Johnson is next on the list of wealthiest actors, with the former WWE star set to make $50m for Amazon's upcoming thriller Red One.

Further down on the list are Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence, who are set to make around $30m and $25m, respectively, for the Netflix/Adam McKay comedy Don't Look Up.

Julia Roberts has also reportedly signed up to a chunky deal, taking home $25m from Netflix for Leave The World Behind.

While Ryan Gosling stands to make around $20m for another Netflix release, the hotly-anticipated thriller The Gray Man.

But while Craig is raking it in, the actor revealed recently that his kids won't get much when he's gone.

According to Variety, his salary from the most recent James Bond flick, No Time to Die, is also estimated to be $25m.

But it turns out his two daughters won't be cashing in on the action, as Craig has said he would rather 'give away' his fortune before he dies.

He and wife Rachel Weisz, 51, welcomed their first child together in 2018, and Craig also has another daughter from a previous marriage, who was born in the 1990s.

In a new interview with Candis magazine, he was asked about leaving them his money, to which he responded: "Isn't there an old adage that if you die a rich person, you've failed?"

Craig continued: "I think Andrew Carnegie [an American industrialist] gave away what in today's money would be about 11 billion dollars, which shows how rich he was because I'll bet he kept some of it, too."

He added: "But I don't want to leave great sums to the next generation. I think inheritance is quite distasteful.

"My philosophy is get rid of it or give it away before you go."
