Blake Harrison says he hasn't been able to dance in public since his iconic scene in the Inbetweeners movie.

The actor said he always loved busting out a few moves on the dance floor but his iconic robotics moves in the hit film have followed him ever since.

In case you have no idea what we're on about, it's a reference to his infamous dance routine to 'We No Speak American' by Yolanda in the 2011 release.

Speaking about it to the Metro, the 36-year-old revealed that he hasn't been able to escape people's cameras at weddings or parties.

He said: "I might have got a couple of snogs off the back of a few dance moves in my time.

'For me, it was always, hit the dance floor as much as possible with good tunes, break out a few decent moves and see if anyone is magnetised to the moves.

"Then Inbetweeners comes along, I use it, and then I've never been able to dance again. It's the bane of my life.'"

Adding: "Now whenever I'm at a wedding, if I go even near the dance floor, you see guests pulling their phones out to try and film you. And you're, like, 'Ah, I can't do it now'."

Speaking recently, Harrison said he still couldn't understand the show's success and that he's always surprised when he finds out that people let their kids watch it.

He said: "You'd be amazed at how young some kids are when they do watch it.

"People come up to me, 'He loves the show'. I'm, like, 'How old is he?', 'He's nine', I'm thinking, 'What are you doing? You're not being a good parent'."

One of the most famous lines from the show is, of course, 'bus w*****s', which Jay shouts from the window of Simon's yellow monstrosity of a car.

And earlier this year, Harrison pleaded with fans to stop shouting it at random people, saying it's not the 'nicest' thing to repeat.

He said: "It's weird, because you think, 'Well I don't think I've given the world anything great...'

"It's like the word 'clunge'. Or people shouting 'bus w*****s' at people standing at bus stops.

"I kind of rather people didn't do that. It doesn't feel like the nicest or the best thing in the world to have contributed to."

The actor isn't against people quoting the show altogether, of course, admitting that he often finds it 'cool' hearing someone he admires or someone famous referencing a line.

Adding: "In terms of people using phrases, when it is someone very popular that comes out with a 'something friend' or whatever, you go, 'Well that is kinda cool. So you clearly liked the show and you might think I'm funny, that is really nice.'

"You can't not like that. You can't get fed up with that. That's really lovely."
