A former heroin addict who appeared on Jeremy Kyle as a guest has revealed her amazing transformation now she's been sober for a year.

Michelle Wallace appeared on the chat show seeking help as an ex-prostitute who had been addicted to heroin for over 20 years.

But she's now shared her new look after almost a whole year sober, and she looks incredible. Appearing much happier, she posted a selfie on TikTok.

The caption read: "Today a year ago I'm [sic] came to Luton off the jk show to rehab I'm gonna be a year clean on the 1/12/19."

She looks much healthier and even has a highlighted feathered bob; behind her are two gym mats on a shelf, suggesting she may even have been getting into yoga.

Michelle appeared on Jeremy's show last year. Her sister, Alison, had told her she couldn't attend their grandmother's funeral because she'd been known to steal from people before.

When she appeared on the show, Michelle had decided it was time to turn her life around - and she obviously stuck to it.

She returned to the show in April this year. She'd spent 10 weeks in rehab in a successful attempt to kick her drug habit, which was costing her around £120 a day.

When she appeared on the show, just three months after she'd left rehab, people took to social media to express their shock at how different she looks.

One person posted on Twitter: "Oh my god, she looks amazing! #JeremyKyle."

Another wrote: " She looks 20 years younger. #jeremykyle."

Someone else commented: "Wow she looks so much younger #JeremyKyle."

Michelle was pleased with her progress and said at the time: "I'm doing great. I love waking up every morning.

"I've got something to wake up for."

Michelle finished her treatment back in May and the show posted on Twitter: "We are happy to announce that [Michelle] has now finished her treatment and has left rehab - A brilliant achievement, well done!"

The Jeremy Kyle Show was cancelled this year after the suicide of a former guest.

An inquiry was set up after the suspected suicide of a previous guest who failed his lie detector test when accused of cheating on his partner.

ITV bosses have told a committee of MPs that lie detector test used on The Jeremy Kyle Show was not reliable and often produced the wrong results.

Despite making a career out of grilling people himself in front of a live audience, Kyle, 53, had declined to appear before MPs to discuss the issue and could face sanctions.
